The Workshop intend to cover a broad field of DNA repair from nucleotide excision repair, base excision repair, mismatch repair, recombinational and doble-strand break repair, interstrand crosslink repair, lesion tolerance and reversal and their relations to genotoxicity and cancer. One of the main goals of the workshop is to attract the young scientists and make a “snapshot” of the DNA repair activities in the Central European countries.
A previous meeting was held in at Smolenice Castle, which is approximately 55 kilometers from Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia in May of 2012 (see: 6th DNA Repair Workshop). Bratislava has an international airport and is about 60 kilometers from Vienna, Austria.
